Next post move that we want to demonstrate for you is the sky hook. Now, you will start again, Chad will walk you through this. He is in a power position with the ball, he still get ahead and ball fakes so with every move we are doing, we are giving the defender almost the same look even though we are coming up with a variety of moves. He had ball fakes, he is going to take a step dribble like a drop step, and then two steps for the sky hook so that he can move away from the defender and a plenty of room to get the shot off.
We will alternate on this and Chad will go ahead and start halfway through to you Frank will start. Frank is on the baseline side that is why again, we split the second hash mark so that he got room to maneuver on the baseline. Go ahead Chad, you are up Frank, rotate sides. Again, we are working both sides of the court.

And again, you want him to make a minimum of ten repetitions in a practice session so that they get into a rhythm. The sky hook is not a speed drill, it is a control drill. You do not have to be a great athlete to take a sky hook. And what you do have to do is to develop the said skill and shooting is all about rhythm
The power position in the post is what will allow you to gain control over the defensive player. At that point, you need to take a good look and decide upon which move you would like to use, they always go down to the power post positions.
