What we are going to do here is that Patricia is going to play one style of a guitar chord or a progression. And then what I am going to do is that I am going to start up by playing a blues lick to go along with those chords and I am going to a more funkier lick and then I am going to play country. And then, I am going to play like gospel type bass lines. So, we are going to have four bass lines in one. But like I told you, what we play determines how the music goes. Not anybody else could control the band so remember that when you assume the role of the bass player. Remember that you are a trained person and do not let people try this at home without you. You too can be the leader of the band without them even knowing it. So, it is kind of a trick that bass players have.

That is our blues bass line.

These are country bass line.
[demonstration]
It is actually a country with soul. Straight country.
[demonstration]
Funk.
[demonstration]
That is funk guitar bass line. Now, we got the gospel bass line.

So as you can see, off of one type of guitar progression, we can determine how the band sounds. We played some straight country and we played some country, the only thing that we did not play is some country swing but we can do that too. Do you understand that? You control the band and the people are going to perceive on how the band sounds and not by how the guitar player sounds but by how the bass player sounds. Keep that in mind when you assume the position of the bass player. It is a very important position.
