How To Play Soccer: Chip & Catch Drill

Janine: This is a chip and catch game, we are working on our chip pass. I play it in to my opponent’s grid, Doug tries to catch it, staying within the grid. Now we go five chances each. If he has to catch it outside the grid, it's not –- it does not count. If he catches it inside, that's one, we go five each. Yes, I am inside, trying to get it at least above a defender's head. As long as I can catch it in the grid, that’s good. Advanced level, we will be increasing the distance and chipping off of the dribble. For example, I would play here and now I am chipping a moving ball.
