Close Passing Drill
Complete one minute of repetition for each drill using both feet.
Janine: With this Close Passing Drill, we develop our touch on the ball, as well as our pace. We are just going to start two touch, with the inside of our foot.
Step 1:
We are trying to find a little rhythm. We are moving while we are waiting. Bouncing on our toes, always ready for the ball. Just getting a lot of repetition on in our technique here. Using both feet.
Step 2:
Now we move to two touch, instep. You can receive it anyway you like. Instep is used for pass and its often overlooked, but its a little poke pass. You can also make this pass when you are right in stride, it's pretty natural.
Step 3:
Now we move to the outside of our foot. Preferable receive it across your body, so it's is across when I play.
Step 4:
Now we continue onto one touch. We want to add a little variation. Every few knocks you dummy to yourself. Do a little heel pass back, and we play.
You want to be able to play with the ball here a little bit, and try to make the little heel pass be creative, have some fun.
Once in a while you will get a heel pass in the game and you will just look magical.
