your just cutting behind the leg, you should fake a kick o get a defender off balance and then cut

You do the second part of the move correctly, but your missing that main part of the move. Where you fake like your taking a shot. To force defense to over commit.

I find this move helpful in games when you either change direction or you are being blocked against the side line

How To Play Soccer: Cruyff Move

Speaker: The cruyff move is similar to the chop, but it's behind your standing leg. So with a still ball, you are going to plant your foot, use the inside of your foot, chop the ball back behind your leg. Go on the opposite direction. So it's inside of the foot, collect it with the outside, of the opposite foot. You want a sharp change in direction here and now we go with some speed. You need it far enough back, so that you don't hit, your standing foot, otherwise it will stop the ball.
