Speaker: Game #29, The Garbage Can Game. Before the game, designate numbers 1 through 4 to each player. They then take turns trying to shoot the ball into the garbage can. They are only allowed one touch to try and score. There is no dribbling allowed in this game.
It's important to get into position when it's your shot. See where the player before you is shooting from and position yourself accordingly. Use all parts of the body, except the hand of course, to direct the ball into the can. The point counts the same whether off the head, thigh, chest, or foot.
As you can see, it can be very difficult to get the ball in the can. This game teaches control and accuracy in both chipping and passing, and besides, its fun.
Play to either 5 points or through 3 complete rotation for each player.
For a greater challenge, a variation of the Garbage Can Game can be played when the ball cannot stop moving. Now there is a challenge. If the ball comes dead on your turn, you lose a point, and if you lose, you take out the garbage.
