Speaker: To practice moves to beat an opponent, we are going to use a cone as our defender. So to begin with, still ball, we are going to do what's called, the scissors move and you circle around the ball from the inside to the out and then you touch the ball to the side around the defender. So again, scissoring around from inside to out, that's the key, touch to the side and we play.
If you don't give the touch to the side, you are going to play the straight into the defender. So you need to go a little bit lateral. So it's around, side and we are by then. We can increase the speed a little bit, around, touch the side and now I'll will just go both ways. Using the cone as my defender.
Also using both feet. Not as much speed is needed, an important tip to remember, as so when to make your move, is when the defender is about one yard away. If you are closer than that, the ball is going to be the closet thing to the defender. They are going to be able to easily tackle that ball, so about a yard you begin your move and then play.
