But I do have a top five lists on how to keep from getting hacked. There are things you can do to protect yourself, there is so only so much you can do that. This comes in courtesy of CVC 1014 and he had a pretty solid list here and you may have different tips to throw out to the community and that is fine too. Number one do not give out your IP address if it all possible.
It is one of the most important things to remember if you do not want to get hack. If you give your IP out to someone, you do not know and if they know how to hack they can see files in your PC that you do not want them to see because that is a bad thing. They can also crash your computer and make it useless, so just remember do not give out to anybody that IP address is pretty much your location on the internet.
Now there are things you can do to protect that IP address from being shared but the best offense is a good defense and hopefully that is not offensive.
Number two, do not download any programs if you do not what it is like if says free computer virus scan and if it looks fake it probably is. The reason that is most of those program come with key loggers in the programs that can store everything you type.
So, if you type an email address and a password to your email address they can see that data and used it to get to your email. Remember you do not want to get hacked so do not download anything if you do not know what it is or does. It is true I would say a lot of a attack factors happen because people do not know what they are doing. I am just the same you know as much I could do to protect my self. It is just important to keep on mind you have to be pro-active with the stuff.
Number three have a secured a Wi-Fi network if you have one only recover this before in the past as well. Today most houses have Wi-Fi so about half of them are unsecured. I would not driver my neighbor and about 32 Wi-Fi networks only ten of them how to know secure network. So what I am trying to say is you have none secured network people have access your network and more easily get into your computer system and see the files on your computer.
And one thing you have to keep on mind is the only way that someone get able top get to the file easily on your computer is if you are sharing those files. I know there is a way to get through and around everything but I am saying taking care of these top level items will make it much more difficult for people to get through unless of course that you just really want to get through that the things who have got.
Are the things on your computer really that important? Only you can decide that. I guess the bottom line is if you have anything important in the computer do not share it and if you do on the computer maybe you should encrypt it. Just protect it with the password on the computer it self. So, levels of security you got to keep in mind protects your self.
Number four make sure you log off any account you have on your computer before getting off. It is applies to shared computer, say if one of your friends is over and get some of the computer right after you did not log he has access to your personal data. You may not what them to see like your email so remember to log out of anything after you get off shared the computer. Also some site have a feature were they can they save your login info. So, if you are in a shared computer do not use that feature.
But I have always done this specifically at public terminals they usually have internet explorer running on the windows machine all use internet explored to download firefox and install Firefox and then use firefox and then uninstall firefox after I am done. I do not of many people can do that every machine may not be so locked down that you can do that way. But you know again anything you got to do protect your self wherever you go.
It is very key that you very— of the information that you shared in any none private network that can keep you from getting hot. So for instance a Pinzi if you want to check the information on a public Wi-Fi or network in a hotel or cruise ship. She will ask before she check, it is okay to check this as a know just wait until you home for that you will be fine.
So in that way you know if there is someone sniffing the wireless network or possible doing something on the network that we do not know and we do not trust or we cannot trust. If she shared her username, a name or password to say some very private information a person can get that information and do things with it. You know I go on and on about this public networks I realized but I have had stories you know of people do sharing information is not be sharing not really to detect it all.
I have heard people because they are just not aware share social security numbers, share phone numbers. Share really private information in a public fashion without realizing what they are doing and I am guilty at the same thing and I beat you are too, when is the last time you went to a restaurant and you jut handed the wake stuff your credit card. And it is not a direct hacking of your computer but still they can do some advantage and I think that is getting hacked it is all about doing damage.
I mean atleast as far is this definition or this particular variable on the definition is concern, keeping your self and being violated getting hot.
Number five keep a secured for everything you have make a password that so long and hard to guess in people you know could not hacked into your account I give you pay pal if you have your email and they know you really you may have a chance in guessing that password and if they do. They could post your password and email the sites whether hackers to use if you do not have a long password and mix them numbers and letters nobody can guess it.
