Host: If I have poor credit from too many late payments, how do I start repairing my credit?

Markita Woods: Well, the first thing you going to want to do is to contact the creditors. Many times when that happens and we pay late we tend to stop communicating with them. The best thing you can do is try to set up some type of payment plan. Also, to have a budget to start with the lowest account that you have and start making extra payments there. First is trying to tackle the bigger accounts first.

So the one thing you have to do though, you have to contact the creditors versus to shying away from speaking with them about the account.
