Hey YouTube, it’s TechSupportGoneBad. And today, I'm going to be teaching you guys how to setup Google Adsense onto your website. So, let’s get started right away.
So, here is Google Adsense and the link to it by the way is google.com/adsense, that’s A-D-S-E-N-S-E and the link to Google Adsense will be in the video description. So, you either want to sign up or sign in.
Now, a couple of tips fro signing up is that you want to make sure that you’re putting your real information and also as far as payment options go, I believe they can send checks to your house and/or they could pay like PayPal and they have a couple of other payment options so before you sign up, you want to make sure you either have a PayPal account or you don’t mind Google sending money checks or checks to your house.
So, once you signed up, you obviously want to sign in to your Google Adsense account. So, just give it a second, sign in here. And here is the Google or my Google Adsense account Homepage. So, you could view your earnings for today, yesterday, last seven days, this month, last month, or all time. I like to keep it at all time just so I know how much I have with Google Adsense so far.
So after, just basically your account overview, now before you get actually make your advertisement and put it on your website, you want to just click on my account, unfortunately I can’t click on it because it shows you guys my complete information and I really don’t want that getting out to all of YouTube. But once you click on my account, you just want to make sure that everything there is correct, your address, your phone number, your payment option, everything there is the way you want it to be.
The reason being is because let’s say your address is incorrect, and you just spend a bunch of time getting all these money on Google and advertising the stuff and they send the checks to your house and it’s not even your house. So, you want to make sure all your information is correct.
So next, once you’ve clarified all your information is correct, you want to click on Adsense setup. So now, we’re going to be actually like setting up the ad. So, you want o click on Adsense for contents. Now, there are a lot of different Adsense, a lot of different Google Ads that you could place on your website but I'm just going to cover the basic one. Yeah the most—the default Google Ad, the basic one, I'm going to cover that.
So, you want to click on Adsense for content and this is where you get start customizing your Google Ad. Now, your Ad unit, you could change it to text and images ads, text ads only or image ads only. I'm going to keep it at text ads only and click continue. And your format, this is how big you want the ad to be. I'm going to put it at 468 pixels x 60 pixels since that is how big my advertising banner area is.
So then, you get to customize the colors. I'm going to put the border as green, title green, background black, text green and the URL green. I’m just doing all that to match my website which is all green and black obviously, so then you get to choose the corner style. I'm going to change the corner style to very rounded corners. And you want to click on show public service ads yeah. Click on the first one and click continue. And then just click continue again and then you want to name the ad. I'm going to name this Tutorial Test Ad. And then click submit and get code.
Now, this is the code you’re going to be copying into Dreamweaver or—freewebs.com, any website builder or this is basically the code that you’re going to be copying into your website. Now, it says your Adsense unit has been saved. Changes may not appear for up to 10 minutes. Now obviously, since I don’t want to make you guys wait 10 minutes just so I could copy and paste this code into my website and to show you guys the changes, I would like to click on manage ads that is right under Adsense setup. Just click on manage ads and I’ll show you guys one of my other ads.
Now, it’s the same exact ad, same exact colors, everything is the same thing. It’s just a different ad so I'm just going to click on the code so I could get the code and show you guys how it looks and copy that, go to Dreamweaver, you have my website template it’s all playing—open and it’s opening Dreamweaver so I'm just going to click right here which is where I usually put my Google Ads. Click on the code section and just paste it right there. And just save changes and then click F12 to preview it in your default web browser.
Now, let’s scroll down and there it is. Now, it will automatically get the ads for what your website is based on. See, it says remote tech support, secret behind the secrets, it’s all about tech support computer tutorials. It just automatically gets what your website is based on and it puts ads based on your website. So there it is, it is really simple. There’s nothing too hard, nothing too complicated but yeah there it is. Hope you guys can make some of this money out of Google Adsense. And yeah just have fun with it and hope this helped you guys out. And remember, if it helps you guys out in any way, please subscribe to my YouTube account and yeah that’s pretty much. So, until the next tutorial, I’ll see you guys later.
