Hey guys, it’s Justin with We Know It Productions, here with another tutorial. Today, I’m going to tell you how ton shutdown a computer in your network that is using Your Network and all that. This is only for people that are using Your Network.
Alright, so we’re going to start run cmd and type net user. Now, this shows all the account on your computer. You want all the ones using Your Network. So, type net view and these are all the computers using your network, Home and Justin. Home, I believe because I’m at the living room and I’m on Justin.
Alright, so what you want to do is you’re going to find out the IP address for the home computer. So, type in tracert HOME. And this is tracing and then here it gives you your IP address, 192.168.1.103. Now, mine is let’s see, oops! Mine is 192.168.1.101 so what you want to do is go to shutdown –I, and this dialogue pops up. Now, you want type Add and enter the IP address of the computer you want to shutdown. So, 192.168.1.103 and you’re going to type okay. Now, you can tell it what you want it to do, shutdown, restart, log off. I usually do restart. I display for 10 seconds. I say Application Maintenance and I go HAHAHA! And then I hit OK, hopefully it doesn’t shutdown and yeah. So, that’s basically it.
