So while at West, we are running the side track. It is amazing Thread Head, if you notice this rad song, about he did not know how to saw. So, this week, we are showing them the simplest stitch in the book, all while making a whole pixie hat form a tutorial one of our forum members in it.
First, measure around your head with a tape measure; now divide that member you get into half and with a fabric pencil, measure and trace out two triangles on an old t shirt or some cool fabric.
Cut your pieces out, place them right side facing each other. Then you are going to pin it together. Once you double thread your needle, the first stitch we are going for is the simple running stitch.
You are going to want to insert your needle into the top of your fabric, come back around and make your first loop. Now when you come back up, you just tie a simple knot, make one more and you are set. Now it is all about the over and under.
Work your way around the hat until both sides are stitched up, make another double knot to secure your stitch, turn the hat right side out and presto! You got yourself a new elf pixie hat thing. Good for bad hair days and running through the forest barefoot with a foot.

Corinne: We interrupt your regularly scheduled broadcast or webweb, a show about the world wide webs we read. This week we follow a thread started in the forums called DIY blogs, where Diana Bobar posted her site so fashion. Through Diana’s site, we discover style bytes and a mother load of great links to include modish. The recently features Jesse Maloney site, Art School Dropout. Jesse’s site brings us to theStanleyfamilylodge, a very conscious online store whose lead has been post is about The Hipp Benefit, to help a seller crafter and single mom. Check out the Hipp Benefits shop and keep our webweb strong.
Female: Welcome to metalchick.

Phung Vong: My name is Phung Vong, I am 27 years old and I am a resident of DC, District of Columbia. I am the owner and designer Treat DC. This only heals me to do what I want you know. I work a full time nine to five during DC’s development and it is so clothing, that is not what you want, it sucks a life out of you, like worst than a vampire. So, here are the samples that I have done, this is my summer collection and currently I am working on fall collection. This are fairly dresses that are made, it is versatile in pieces there are cuter all vest. You could do a shawl, it is not necessarily for just a prim and proper, that is what I love about my pieces anyone can rock this.
The unrefined look is my look and so I have stitched this in a way where there is no set hanger, no direction. I do not like strictly just texture to be so consistent and to break up that knot need, this is the way to do it. There is all these flows that you can see with it, not a perfect thing about it is that it is not perfect. This is my motivation, this is my catalyst and my drive for what I do.
Corinne: On the forums, Tomothecat posted this awesome bag partially constructed from a ramen noodles package. Jessrae made these two fabulous shirts and CeluloidPixie tried out the DIY screen-printing too and made some great prints. We also got an excellent email from Caroline who made a bunch of paper beads and another from Patrick who put together this rocking superhero laptop case. Great work everyone! Well, we sure are glad to be home, we really missed you.
Rob: Definitely. And a big thanks to everyone who contributed their last week viewer take over week, it was so awesome and we are so impressed that we upping the fancy.
