Hi! I am Tamara, I am with the Ford Models. And today I am here to give you some tips on curly hair and what you can do with it. I condition my hair a lot pretty much everyday. A lot of times I will put on leave in conditioner, it is something I start with. But I wash my hair about once a week because I do not want it to get too dry. This type of hair is known for drying out. So it is really important to have the right product. So let’s get started.
For this look I usually start after the shower, my hair is just a little bit damp so a lot of times I use curl conscience which is a product by Bumble and Bumble. It is a cream that you put it in and it helps to define the curls. Then on top of that because this hair loves a lot of product, this product by Aveda which I love using, it is called styling curessence and basically it is a detangler. So I spray it in and then I just kind of run it through with my fingers. You do not really want to comb or brush it but running it through with your fingers helps to separate the curls out of it.
Then after that we need moisturizer and that is really important for our hair. And Carol's Daughter makes some really great products and this one is called Hair Milk and I just take a little bit like this, put it on my hand like that. And it is really nice because it really conditions the hair and I pull it through and then I have got my curly hair. And a lot of times I let it dry naturally but sometimes when you are in hurry you might need to use a hair dryer and if you do, I highly recommend getting a diffuser which is this thing here, you add it to your hair dryer and you just dry your hair and it helps to give you more body without to frizz. And the very last thing I add is also by Carol's Daughter is this Mimosa Hair Honey which adds shine and it controls frizz which I actually going to put a little bit of that in right now because you can never get enough of that.
Another thing is to is -- a hair has a tendency even though it might not be dry to look dry so adding any type of moisture you can to it, especially at the very end for a finished look is always a nice thing to do. Okay, so then another look that I do is -- I like to pull my hair back just so that I can have it off of my face. And I do that using Bobby pins or a scarf but I will show you with the Bobby pins first. Basically I start in the center and then I twist it back a bit just in different sections. And I stick the Bobby pin through -- it is really simple. You can do all kinds of interesting twists and shapes with this as well. But this is one of my favorites. And then if there is a little section that is missing, you just add a Bobby pin there.
Trying to get it down in there which sometimes it can be a little thick and it is hard so you just got to use some force and fluff it out a little bit. Another thing that you can also do if you want to continue with the Bobby pins is bring behind and lift up your hair like this. So you have a whole new other look, okay. Then another thing I love to do with my hair is -- this is so easy, I do it before I go to gym, a lot of times is I just take a simple scarf and I am leaving the Bobby pins in but you can do it with or without Bobby pins. And I just put the scarf around my head, it is really simple, tie it and then you have a scarf look which is really simple and cute.
Then the third thing that I do is take out all these Bobby pins and sometimes they get lost in there. And have sheets where I have taught I have taken out all the Bobby pins and then the next morning I will find a Bobby pin. So when I comb my hair back I use a simple hair band and you want to get one that is not damaging to your hair. Something that usually has cloth around it. You can use a scrunchie or something like that. You can make it something more fancy than this but this is just a simple black hair band and I take my hair, it takes a little arm work to get it back because of the length, if you have longer hair it might be easier, shorter hair might be a little bit more difficult but you can do it. You pull it back and so since we have all these bits of fly-aways. I like to bring a few of the tendules forward and just kind of make it a little messy. So you kind of have a very relaxed spring summery look. Those are three hair styles that you can do with curly hair. Hope you like them.
