This is a video tutorial by jimmyR.com and in this tutorial I will be teaching about online education. A group called the open consort him has banded together and it is a hold on to the Universities that offer free courses online.
I prefer the Berkley video course because what they do is they put you inside the classroom. They video tape the professors directly giving them lectures from the classroom. And they have all kinds of great stuff like Introduction to Human Nutrition, US Foreign Policy, Anatomy, Biology and a ton of computer courses. So if you want to take to see or you want to take Java, I recommend you check out these courses. They have not hold on just said only put the ones that have video lectures on my page. That is www.leadskills.com/freeeduaction. It is just a massive list but Berkeley is the number one related public school in the countries so they got some awesome professors.
They have all kinds of course not just video lectures they have web cast and podcast. A lot of their videos only have podcast so you can subscribe on itunes and just hear it. If you are taking like in English course or something I am sure it would be better just take it by post class. I am sure a lot of people are interested in that. But this is in all the courses they offer, you can you can go down and click by a semester Spring 2007 that is one set are going on right now so you would not find the full list of videos. Once you click it, it will open a real media stream. I can not screen capture that because they uses direct tech simulation.
But I recommend a few things; well let me get to that in a moment. Let me show you the other open course for sites.
MIT has an open course for a thing and by 2008 they plan to have all their courses online which is amazing. They also have courses with video lectures so if you want to see the best professors in the world then you can check in that right here with this little Google hack thing. Check out courses with video lectures on MIT. Kind of Marlon and the rest of them offers sort of just PDF video lectures. This does not seem as new as putting your self inside the classroom with the video web cast. Because I am sure a lot of people have download it hundreds of E Books that they have never had. I am sure a lot of people are guilty of that including me. Well, I read few I cannot say. But we also have free documentaries and we have tons, there is tons of podcast I want to teach you other languages.
Even ESL English as a second language for those foreign speakers, learn French, learn Russian and learn Italian, Hindu, Spanish there is all kind of video like choosing and subscribe to you on items. I have compiled list here, hold on to reference site and there is even ear training. There is hold on to free era training software. Ear training if you play an instrument it allows you to basically play songs by ears. You do not need any perfect pitch; all you need is good ear training to be able to tell the intervals apart from each other. None of this is stuff fifth can not do with training. So that is pretty useful. And I have language courses down here and again I want to bring focus more on Berkeley video lectures.
If you have a free try the Berkeley lectures and that stuff I recommend you go to Google and by default the video lectures on Berkley are real media player extension. I do not recommend you download real media player because it is sort of a blot ware and it nags you every time you start up your computer so I recommend you search real alternative. And what that does is the use of media player classic very light weight it is open source software that is absolutely free. So you download real alternative and you can play the video players. It is completely free, it is pretty fast to download, it is about 5MG I think. And now you can open the real media player files fairly quickly and it does not use for a lot of memory.
Now the last thing I want to show is foxit. I want you top type download foxit, it is a free PDF opener it is only 1.6MB it is very tiny. And what it does is it open PDF documents quickly. If you are going to do open course or stuff whether it is Berkeley or MIT you might want to go check out their PDF documents, their homework assignments, or test and usually they are going to be on PDF format. It is a very small download and it is way faster than adobe reader. It is way fast or way smaller and much more efficient. So I recommend it highly. It is foxit reader.
So check out those if you are really into it you can try ghost script reader or something and download post script and all those kinds of fancy viewing tools but I do not really recommend those highly basically you just going to need to open real media player videos and PDF documents. Even though the first lecture is always really boring they are just the introductory lectures. Sometimes they give the class website, the professor’s website and you can download additional homework assignments and all that stuffs.
So even though the Berkeley video web cast do not have do not have lectures, the professors do have them in their home pages you can check it on the first video. This is been a tutorial by jimmR.com, check us out for more tutorials.
