The video of the AKAI MPC 2500 Direct Recording feature, what are the coolest new features implemented in anything hardware and amended it in my opinion so, check this out.
I got,
Hold on here, I will get my quarter inch microphone and I will plug it in to my audio right jack here so, I am going to mode and record.
And, okay, I put it to the right because I have it on right and all you have to worry about here is that your monitor is turned on. I think you can see that, okay.
Monitor right here,
Turned on,
Then, you could go back to your main screen and
(Drum Playing)
I got some drums already loaded up so, what I am going to do is I am like kind of like Beatbox something in, live and I will record it right to the sequencer. So what you do here is you go down here
(On the Screen)
On the unused track and hit your window button and you got a note, it is Direct Recording, now Pressing TurnON will enter DIRECT RECODING mode.
So it is turn on and now, you will notice one you can hear right for the main screen, yes sir, and you have record and you click, you can hear the metronome if you do not have anything playing. I got some drums to follow, I need that.
To do it, you just basically, whatever you hit and record, no matter what part of your sequence where, bar you are in, you start recording and then play something. It is going to apply in that point of your sequence.
So, I will give you for an instance,
(Metronome Click)
(Drum Beat)
Okay so I just mouth pot that in so, I will play here,
(Drum Beat)
Sound’s cool! So, this is the cool thing you,
(Clicking on the board)
And you will see he says “Recording event:YES” it means, it going to apply right in the sequencer where I play that in live for me and key so now when I press play,
(Pressing the Play Button)
(Drum Beat)
That is the stir right?
That will save you a bunch of con, you can do that with MIDI instruments. You can do that with live instruments like Fender Rhodes, Percussions, whatever. So, I must do another track of maybe some
(Snapping fingers)
Claps or, I am going to do something else in my mouth here because I got mic plugged up here instead of a keyboard.
So, window turn on,
(Metronome)
(Recording the Beatbox)
Play it,
(Demo)
Sound’s cool? Tap it to unused pad,
(Demo)
And a key,
(Drum beat)
Right there in the pool.
And just incase you really not sure what is going on here, I am going to do it one more time here.
Unused track,
(Demo)
Oh, my bad. I forgot to go to drum and press window. Turn on,
(Demo)
(Metronome Clicking)
Sorry, my bad.
(Metronome Clicking)
(Recoding the Rap Part)
Hit the unused pad and here we go, this is secret messaging for all of you.
(Record Demo)
