Hello guys, in this video I am just going to show casing something that I made really quick that allows you to watch free courses online from the University of Berkeley really, really, quickly. If you have not been to their site you can go at WebCast.Berkeley.edu and there is classes actually online. You can watch video of the college classes. You will not get any credit buy hey if you want to learn something, it is really cool.
They have the both the video and just audio sometimes and for audio, you can even subscribe using iTunes, so it is pretty cool. I have actually made a list of all their courses and created playlist for each of the courses on this site. If you go back to the site, you can actually see that they have not ordered by semesters so there are actually many, many courses. I have only added videos, the courses do not have videos to the playlist so, you can quickly select them. You can either copy the URL here or you can actually just click the link on the description. Basically you go to this URL and you save the file. You extract it in your desktop using winrar or 7-zip. I warn you right now that it is not going to require a real player so real player is not an option. Go ahead and stop the video.
This is just going to create a directory called jimmyrecom which is my YouTube user name and if you get to the Berkeley directory it will have a list of all the video courses on the Berkeley so when you click them, like if I right click and open with real player. I can actually see the course and I can actually go through and select lectures individually. I can click return and close it if I want to close. So, it has all the videos from Berkeley and a play list and I can actually have the play list with the actual titles of each lecture so it is really convenient.
I have also created for Windows users a little batch file so if I click choose.batch, Choose.batch that it will give me an option like I choose from biology, computer courses, and other option I am going to choose computer courses by clicking the corresponding - 2; it will give me a list of all the computer courses on Berkeley. On the University of California, and I can just select anyone for example; I will select this course, I will just click the corresponding 16, I will type it and it will actually open that specific course. So, it is actually very convenient, if you use something like hotkeybind, I can just click ctrl+space and it will actually open the choose.bat so I can watch video lectures from the University of California. Really, really fast, I just click ctrl+space.
If you have not watched that video tutorial, I recommend you search JimmyRcom HotKeyBnid or you can use auto hotkey or winkey. It is not necessary that it will actually really convenient just to have a quick key. This folder if you put it in any directory, it will still work so you can take it off your desktop without work.
I am sorry if I went too fast on this video but if you check out the Berkeley webcast site it will make a little more sense. I also added a readme file which has a lot more information. This is what I have been working on the past few days so I thought I had to share, if you get your side of it, okay. Well it is not ignorant, anyways thanks for listening.
