How To make a Gin Fizz
Today, we’re going to be making a Gin Fizz. Excellent drink!
Now, what we want to do first of all, have your old-fashioned glass. Have some ice cubes in there. Now a traditional gin fizz is made with two very large ice cubes and you might not have that option.
Now, what we want to do is grab your shaker tin. You tell that because it’s a metal. Ice set down, you get your nice gin, put an ounce and a half. There you go. One quick thing to know about doing your pouring in a regular pouring glass like this, a half ounce it looks more like a three quarters, it’s about up to there. You should know that.
Now, a little bit of lemon juice. Let’s say about three quarters of an ounce around there and about a teaspoon of powdered sugar. Very good. Now what we want to do is to mix that up now. Nice and shake it. It’s nice and cold. You’ll never know when it’s going. Pop that. You want to strain it, not quite so clean. And then you want to top up with soda. Now some people don’t know why they don’t put soda in there, because if you put soda in with the shaker tin, it may tend to explode. It would be a bad thing. Top up with soda, there you go, garnish with a lemon, very nice. Add a straw. And you have perfect Gin Fizz. You will like that. Give it a try.
Now remember, one thing that doesn’t mix well with alcohol is driving. So please drink carefully, no driving and make it home safely. We’ll see you next time.
