Lyle Hurd: Sure, I understand that Celadrin has some excellent benefits when it comes to age management or antiaging. Explain that.
Sherry Torkos: Yeah it is - research was actually quite interesting. When they were doing the studies looking at neo-osteoarthritis, the researchers had participants, which in this one study was a group of nuns, applying Celadrin cream to their knees. Some of the participants in the study remarked that they had less wrinkling and less lines on their knees. So it was from that surprising finding that researchers actually thought, well, let's look at whether this can actually help with wrinkling and help reduce wrinkling on the face.
Now there are a number of things that occur that promote aging of our skin. Inflammation that was at the root of this process, whether we are exposed to sun, stress, smoking, poor diet, environment, these things can trigger inflammation in the skin, which can promote aging and wrinkling of the skin.
So one of the pilot trials that was done by the manufacturer of Celadrin looked at its ability to help reduce wrinkling and what they found is that it did offer some significant benefits in terms of improving the appearance of lines on the face, improving the texture and the tone and just the overall look and feel of the skin. So I think this is pretty interesting. Here we find a natural supplement, originally used for osteoarthritis, there was a surprise finding that it can benefit those that have wrinkles.
So now it's actually being looked at further for its ability to promote healthy aging. When you look at some of the underlying causes with aging, inflammation is a big one. Inflammation is something that occurs in our body in response to stress, environment, diet, smoking. Inflammation is now recognized to be a factor in heart disease, inflammation is a factor in problems with our joint such as our arthritis and it's also a factor with causing accelerated skin aging. So I think for those that are looking for our daily supplement that they can take that offers a wide range of health benefits so we can then look to Celadrin for some of those properties.
Lyle Hurd: So we suggest that everyone have a little jar of Celadrin cream in their home for emergency use or whatever is necessary, and as long as they do to try a little bit on their face to find out what it does for them, right?
Sherry Torkos: Well, I think yeah, there are a lot of benefits and that using the Celadrin in a cream form if you have a sports injury, if you hurt yourself, get some inflammation, you can apply, you get rather rapid effects from it but it does offer these benefits for the skin in terms of helping reduce wrinkling. So that's a nice little side benefit.
Lyle Hurd: Terrific, thanks.
Sherry Torkos: Thank you.
