Okay, here is my engine compartment here; I usually clean my engines pretty well. Sometimes you get them dirty. You know when you buy them, a lot to this people they just do not take of the engine compartment but the engine might still run okay. Volkswagens are known for running for a very long time so even if they are a little dirty it is okay. We usually if we go to detail our engine, of course we have to drop the engine. You can get in there with a toothbrush if you wanted to but regardless which one to look for when you start up your bug that you could have looked in the purchases. Make sure you got that engine seal in there. if you see this here, it has an engine seal. It keeps the heat out of the bug from the muffler, and any sort of heat that you got coming into the engine compartment could really hurt the bug’s performance and actually make it to break down, I have had that happen to me before. I do not think that engine seal was all that important but it actually is. So you want to check that out and when you start the car up, really what you want to do is you want to touch the gas pedal, say once or twice before you start. And what that is going to do, that is going to heat this right here and put it on the choke. So what you do is hit your gas pedal ones or twice when you are in the car, then you should not have to put your foot on the pedal. Turn the key and Thanks for watching and thanks for anyone who subscribed to me. Expect more videos soon. That’s all folks it should be able to start right away. If it has trouble starting, you know, ask question, see what is going on, why it is doing that but it should start right away. And then when you come back here, when you look at the engine running. You know open that engine lead. See the engine running and see if there is any smoke coming out of the tail pipe, you know, bugs are known for having smoke coming out of their tailpipe. Check to makes sure you know you do not know any of that happening. It should one clean, most bugs have that you know the twit bird sound,
When you hear that, you are pretty good to go. I mean these engines are made to run good, should not pop out a gear, make sure there is no grinding while you are shifting into your gear, some bugs are known for doing that. Popping anniversary rose I have had, both stew and make sure on the dash– there is no engine light on as fast as of the generator to the light or the oil light while you are looking at this things.
I just going to start the engine up now and you will be able to hear what a bug should sound line and have a good reference for that.
