How a Market Maker Work

How is the Market Maker work? David Marotta: In order for a company to be a market maker, they have to have a big pull of stock and they’re always offering to buy your self stocks at that price. Let’s say that there is more people who want to buy the stock, so they’re selling stock so, they offer to sell the stock at this price they’re offering the buy at this price. As people buy the stock when they can move the stock price up so, those sell the first couple of lots at this price and then if there is no other sellers they will continue to sell the stock and move the price up. So, there is a price that are always offering the stock, that is there asking price and then there is a price they are always bidding to buy the stock yet so if people are wanting to sell there stock they will offer to sell, they will offer to buy it at this price and that is there bid price. And as more people want to sell there stock they move to bid price down so, the bid and ask price are constantly getting move up and down.
