It says in a note here that he would like the vehicle to be seen me between 9 and noon today. I am only about three miles away; if you are available I can come out there right now. Will that be okay? Alright, great! I have your address. So I plugged it into my GPS so I will see you in a few minutes. Alright, great, I will see you then. Thanks.
Alright! It looks like we are heading there now. So let's go out and knock this assignment out.
One of the things about being a field appraiser that you've got to keep in mind always is there is going to be a lot of paperwork involved and what you've got to do it make sure you are very organized in what you do. What I try to do is already pre-thought all of the administrative data in my computer system before I even go out there which makes it a lot easier when you are actually inspecting the VIN to write the estimate right there at the vehicle upload it to the client and ultimately take care of every thing right there on site. Therefore, your cycle times are a lot faster and the clients are lot happier.
We are rolling into our assignment it's a mobile home park. I have the space number of where the owner lives, so I've just got to simply look around and try to find it. It will take a few minutes, but in situations like this it's fairly simple. It just takes a little extra driving.
Alright, we are still driving around here trying to find it. Let see here. Trying to find a needle in the haystack sometimes, but I will eventually find it here. I think we are coming close to it now. I grab here my bag. It's going to be my business card, my tape measure, and my camera along with my notepad and some and a pen, sounds good and take care.
I am done with the inspection now and I am going to go ahead in my car here write the estimate out on my laptop and put all the information in. We are going to go ahead and replace that outer door skin. I found one here and then we are going to do some repair time in that dog leg and quarter panel area and we will repair time to the bumper. The bumper had some prior damage, so we are going to allow a little repair to the bumper, but we are not going to cover the whole bumper, because there is a lot of prior damage.
Anyway, I am going to go ahead and finish this up and give a copy to the owner and once we are done with that, the owner can follow up with the adjuster and our part is done there in two hours cycle time.
