You guys ever had pemmican. This stuff right here is great. I was just chilling here, eating some pemmican. I was like, I was going to shoot a video because I haven't talked about water for a little while. Check this out.
Last pemmican, I get this at grasslandbeef.com. I know it always seems like I am doing like a commercial for somebody, but I swear I don't get paid for any of this. It's like beef and water and sea salt, it's really good. It's like, got some fat and lots of protein in there. Usually, I get in bars like the protein bars, like the healthiest protein bar you can find. No preservatives, no weird stuff in it. I went big style this time and I got this today. I got this big whole pail of it, I am just really excited. I want to sit here and eat it for a while. But anyway, enough of that stuff.
We ought to get back to this water thing. I am sure you guys have had enough time to watch the fluoride video. If you haven’t, go back and check it out. Down with fluoride, I mean that stuff is bad. We are going to skip Chlorine right now because Chlorine is like a whole other story that I even don’t like talking about. We are going to get in fact the nitty-gritty of it all and talk about like, how much water you should be drinking? What kind of water you should be drinking? What kind of water that I drink? and stuff like that.
Now first off, take your body weight and divide it by 2, and that's how many ounces of water you should be drinking every day, like minimal. So I am like a 180 pounds, so that's 90 ounces of water that I drink, that's minimum. Typically, I go through a full gallon. I carry around this big old gallon water bottle with me and people think I am crazy, but I just make sure I go through my whole gallon, I make sure that I am hydrated.
Now when you want to make sure of those that we are talking, we are talking about water. Strictly H2O, I am not talking here about, like diet soda, and soft drinks, and beer, and alcoholic beverages, and fruit juices, and tea's ice, all those things, they dehydrates you. We are talking about hydrating you with water, so it can do the job that it’s supposed to do. We don't want to dehydrate you. So when you calculated that, that's how many ounces of straight up water you should be taking. So I want to make that clear.
Now what kind? Ideally, you want to have artesian waters. Artesian water is like the most natural water. You don't have to pump it out of the earth, the earth kind of pushes it up there for you to the surface, like here, “I am water drink me.” So that's the best water for you. However, artesian waters are like vast and Fiji and Avion and expensive. If you are really, really doing like this stuff that I suggest, you are having your grass fed beef and your free range poultry and your organic produce, the funds might be getting a little bit lower than you want them to be. So I don't do the high end water. I mean I would like to, but I just don't because I can't afford to spend $3 on a bottle of water, it's just not going to happen.
So what you want to do is make sure that the water that you are drinking passes the two tests. One is hardness factor, the other is total dissolved solids. Now we talk about hardness factor, I am sure you have heard of like soft water and hard water. Like the softest water would be distilled water and it's soft because it doesn't have any minerals in them. They take everything out, it’s a casting that leave them -- all the minerals that were in the water, they are gone.
So I get a lot of people who say, “I just drink distilled water, it's good for me.” No, it's not. It's good for you for a very limited amount of time. So if you are detoxing, doing some type of program like that, that's when distilled water is good for me, but beyond that you want to make sure that you have a harder water, because if you drink distilled water, your body goes, “That's water but where is the minerals.”
So where do you think your body gets the minerals from? It starts to pull them out of your body, out of your stores and you don't want that because that'
