How the LSAT is Scored

Bernadette Chimner: Hi, my name is Bernadette Chimner. I am with Griffon Preparation Services and today we are talking with you about LSAT scores and Law School admissions. Host: How is the LSAT scored? Bernadette Chimner: The LSAT is scored on a scale from 120-180 in single point increments. Most people score between 140 and 160. So once you are at 160, you are in the 85th percentile which means that you are scoring better than 85% of the other people taking the test. Once you hit 170, you are scoring the 98th percentile which means you are in the top 2% of people taking the test. Which is why I always hear people asking, Did you break 168, did you break 170?
