Host: What can I do throughout the school year to ace my finals?
Amanda Medders: The most important thing to do throughout the school year is to stay on top of your classes from the beginning. Every time that you get notes from class or handouts, you want to make sure that you’re going back to those notes on a daily or at least weekly basis to make sure that you’re keeping up with the material.
Every time that you prepare for a test or quiz, you also want to do that in advance. It’s much easier to prepare for 30 minutes or one hour each day rather than cramming for 4 hours right before a test. It also helps with retention. That way, by the time you get to the end of the school year, you already know most of the material that’s been taught in the class.
Another key part of keeping up to date with your information is staying organized. Creating a system that you can stick to throughout the year will help when it comes to finals, that way you’ll have all of your class materials, notes, test, quizzes, etc. all together in one place where you can easily go back and refer to things that you’ve already done.
