How to add a Foggy Effect to Your Images Hello YouTubers this is maro2194 back again, so right now it has been a long time since I didn’t make any videos for YouTube but well I’m back. And as you can see I’m with Max so I’m happy about that. Okay, so in this video I will teach you how to make a fog like effect to any of your pictures, so I hope you like this effect and well, let’s begin. Before beginning I could say this is a picture from one of my friends. He is a photographer. He is from Japan, and he takes random cool photographs. Cool photographs, and well if you want to see his work. You can log in into www.rsslo.davidheart.com. I will post the link in the video descriptions, so you can easily log to the website to see his works. So now we can begin working to make our effects so well. First of all, grab that image you want to transform, and create a new layer right over here with the create layer button. Now we can name that layer fog just to guide our shows. Now we can grab our brush tool by clicking B. It’s the hot key, or just go on to this icon over here. And we’ll select the size you want. It depends on the resolution your picture has. This one does not have a high resolution though it’s clean, so I will use 80 pixel brush but you can use like 400 in some cases here. Now select the mode to be Dissolve, not normal mode behind, not clear, dissolve. And it’s a basic TRO 50% now flow 100 graph. So now paint the section of the picture you want to be drawn or with the effect, so I just want this picture not the window. I want this part of the effect, so as you can see this picture has little map neck margin over here. Let’s ignore that. The effect of margin will look like a little different because of foggy effect. I’ve colored a little bit over the blackboard, but I just think you don’t use this effect in margin picture so well it will be very easy for you to change this. Now I have to create a blurry effect. I like to give that this holistic effect, so I think of Gaussian blur will look perfect over here. So we’ll go to Filter, Blur, Gaussian blur. Now just hit over that and if you want to keep that preview. You don’t want the picture to look like that, click a preview over there, and I default your radius should be five pixels. But you can see here that it looks a little and no light very pixilated, so we can’t make our radius go a little bit up like to a thing, and you can see this a little blot little like clearer yes so just hit okay. And here we have our effect. You can think this is our complete effect, but we could adjust a little bit more effect to this, so over here select your fog layer, and add a layer mask on this bottom over here. As you can see, so we add a layer mask, and we’ll select our gradient tool just by hitting G, or clicking this icon over here. So select the black and white colors. You can just hit this buttons over here. I will select white and black that would have made it. Draw a straight line depending on what you want from the top of the picture to the end. And you can see here as a draw it from top to bottom our effect won’t look as much potential. But if we create from bottom to top you can see here mainly over here. It concentrates a lot of effect. The thing they told you about a margin was this as you can see here in this I can see white, but I think you won’t do this effect in any other picture. You try to do it in one that it didn’t have margins, so let me create make this effect to little bit better. You see here I draw a little bit of the image, and you can see there the effect pretty clear, but let’s say I want it like this. Over here, there you go. And you can see here’s like the foggy effect. I took this like image during the day, but if you do this effect in the night or in a picture that has been taken in the night. You can see the effect better. Now here’s a picture without the effect. I used picture with the effect as you can see it’s pretty clear that it’s foggy as I just told you. This picture was taken in the day, but in the night the effect will look much better.
