Today, we are going to adjust the brake pads. The surface of the brake pad has to be parallel to the surface of rim. If it's slightly off to the angle, it will wear badly, and you bring parallel which won't be as good. You can have the two coming in first slightly, that can make better braking and also if you got a squeaky side from the brake pad, it gets rid of it.
Basically, you want the pads to be touching full on to get the best braking possible. So adjust or undo the bolt here with the 5 millimeter angle again, and you will find that the brake pad can angle in, now back, front in, back to angle. So you want it just below the tire, so that it wouldn't wear the side of the tire out. It's touching and you want it to touch square onto the rim. When you have got that correct, tighten up the 5 millimeter here again.
If you are having problems with squeaky brake pads, just bring the nose of the pad in slightly, and that will cure any squeaky braking. Make sure that's nice and tight. Flick the lever a couple of times, make sure everything is okay. Yeah, that seems good, and here we go.
