Quick Facebook “Alteration” Tutorial by Clayton Jenkins
You will need Firefox 3.0 Grease Monkey and some script knowledge (but there is an easy way around that)
But first I want to show you what we are doing
Notice the Ad on the left is now gone and the color has changed!
Ok, first let’s get the tools you need!!!!
Firefox is free, install it (it's better anyways)
Now, we are going to install grease monkey, it allows us to run our own code while viewing pages.
When you have found Grease Monkey, just follow the Firefox’s Directions it's Safe
Here are hundreds of free scripts that already work with grease monkey! Just pick what you want done!!! I suggest the color changer and ad removal
On the right side you will see a “install this script” button. You just follow the directions and hit install.
Now Start Playing! Most scripts will just auto run…it may take a second or two.
However, the one I have just chosen requires you to choose the color! So you select….
Pretty Cool, huh?
Don’t download any script without first reading the reviews and/or making sure loads of people have downloaded it. Most are safe…there are a lot of fun tools out there! Here are a few!
One more thing, if you want to turn off all the scripts and just not deal with them (they can sometimes slow your browsing) just click the little monkey face, he will stop smiling and frown (this means it is off)
Well, you get the idea. Oh yeah, and this only changes the way facebook looks on YOUR machine. But it's nice to remove ads and really fun to play with.
