How to Announce Your Pregnancy

Hi everybody, I am Melanie Raposo and welcome to Mommy's Minute. Finding out you are pregnant is a very exciting time for women. So it is only natural that they would want to share the news. Well, what is the best time to tell others you are pregnant? Traditionally women waited until the end of their first trimester to make the announcement since the chances of miscarriage are reduced by this time. Announcing your pregnancy early on means lots of advice and support from the start. However too much of advise in the beginning can be overwhelming. Waiting until late in your pregnancy to make the announcement means more time to make your own decisions and if you happen to have a miscarriage you don't have to take the baby announcement back. But it does mean less support and you may offend people if you are ready to tell them. Whatever you do, it is your baby announcement so ultimately it is your decision.
