Kalvin Sims: Hey gals, it’s your hot fashionista Kalvin Sims at watchmojo.com today, and we’re here in front of Mindy Shear behind me and we’re going to go inside and talk about eyelash extensions and just how simple this really is getting in nowadays. So asking a few questions about the eyelash extensions before we go in and actually watch you do it on Nicole, “What kind of a product do you use, how do you know which products to use”, cause I see behind us here we’ve got different eyelashes.
Mindy Shear: I design eyelashes according to use specifically and I have different lengths, so there is vary like the dowry eye, where it’s you know, sort of short on the ends and then blond in the middle, with very sexy glamour where it’s more curved out and it’s very like batting lashes; so I really design specifically to each client where they go a little bit heavy or whether they need more lashes, because it’s basically the lash extensions that are glued on to your lashes, if you don’t have lashes or you’re missing some lashes, I have to build them out.
Kalvin Sims: How much is it goring to cost to look this glamorous pulling under the bed every morning and looking just fabulous?
Mindy Shear: $270 and that includes your removal, your retouch-ups and the application
Kalvin Sims: How many retouch-ups does someone need to go for, averagely?
Mindy Shear: You need one and that should bring you to up to a month, because lashes grow out.
Kalvin Sims: So you’re going to take us now and you’re going to show us Nicole, shall we? And what exactly are you using on her, what kind of a look are you going for that you’re going to show us right now?
Mindy Shear: I want it to be someone natural yet visible and like somebody will look at her and say, “Why your eyelashes are gorgeous, where did you get that mascara?”And then she’ll say “Mindy Shear”
Kalvin Sims: How many pieces of eyelash do you put into one setting?
Mindy Shear: One to two lines for each eye, so it depends how full we want the lashes, how long, how glamorous, how natural, it’s just the top lash and it gives you that sexy look and it opens up the eye, if you do it in the bottom, it makes the eyes too spidery.
Kalvin Sims: So is this something most women do, cause I don’t think a lot of people actually come in and get this done, it’s something that new trend that any could set in
Mindy Shear: People are catching on really quickly but it’s been in, you know, LA, New York, Europe for a while, you know but they’ll realize that they fake eyelashes, that’s the full point. You want beauty but natural.
