Male: Inside the seaside home in addition created three different rooms that required three very
different wall treatments. Interior designer Gina Freeman hired Sandra of Faux like a Pro
to do here clients walls.
Gina: With the addition of the house she’s added a lot of wall space and not wanting to put
wallpapers on the walls but want in texture, wanting color but not too much color when I
thought to bring Sandra in would be a huge benefit to covering a lot of the large well
center in the house.
Male: Here is the finish look of the family room. Sandra picked the warm color with saddle
metallic highlights that took many steps. Now starts with the Venetian plaster.
Gina: And we do with called cross hatching and okay what that is, is you actually putting on
and you’re cross hatching the photo gone to create this textures.
Male: When this is done she adds the clear flat wax.
Gina: And it’s a protected coat that goes on top with your plaster and it’s also what gives your
plaster chain and allows to be furnishing your product so you are going to put that right
on and you can see it’s not to come so light.
Male: She sporadically apply the mix of gold and copper metallic wax over the clear wax. And
the final touches is varnishing, rubbing the knife back and forth over the wax surface
once it’s dry. The owner loves the way her family room looks.
Robin: The under occurrence of the paint, there is gold and silver within the paint and within the
plaster that way that it shines and it really depends on the lighting of the day and the time
of the day you can have completely different feels.
