How to Apply Tanned Makeup for Men
Hi guys I’m here again to talk about— continue talking about the topic about make-up
for men as we talked about last time you know make-up for men is a little bit limited you
know because you don’t want people to notice that you’re wearing make-up so we
covered the fresh look which is a little bit more elaborate at this one. This is the look that
most men usually go for which is the tan look, the sun tan look and for that you’re going
to need a bronzer and some kind of a red blush or red lipstick to give that illusion of a
sunburn around your high points of your face and your nose as well.
Like I said in the last tutorial, you know I applied same— red lipstick but this time we
put a little bit more because you’re going for the sunburned, real sunburned from the
Bahamas anything so I want to show you guys the products you use for this. I already
washed my face and moisturized. You need to do that anytime you’re going to apply any
kind of make-up, okay, always a fresh skin.
So you can use any kind of bronzer as long as it has no shimmer in it. You know shimmer
is a glitter kind of particles they use finding a lot of make-up for women and this is one
that’s made for men by Jean Paul Gaultier. It’s called Jean Paul Gaultier monsieur. It’s a
quite neat and discretely packaged so you’re not going to you know if somebody find it
it’s like oh he has some make up on him or whatever. It comes with a brush although I
don’t like this brush very much but you can select this, like this like so. Take your old
school shaving brush and apply. But this is a pricey one it’s about €50 for this little guy
here.
NARS also make a good one but it’s also you know a little pricey in last ages but just so
you know. I’m talking about that because I received this little sample from this company
called Mineralissima and they’ve just been doing a mineral make-up and I’m a huge fan
of that as you can remember from my last post and this is a knock off from Guerlain
Terracotta Bronzer which is a huge hit. That bronzer cost about €88 but this is a sample
bottle. The normal bottle is much bigger and its €11 so we’re going to do with this one to
prove that style and that looks has no budget. You can do it on a budget, no problem as
long as you have good sense of common sense and you know you just don’t want to look
crazy that’s the whole point.
So let’s start, as I mentioned before and since this is a sample it doesn’t have the big lid.
I’m going to improvise and I took something like an ashtray or a clean— and you put
some of the powder just like the mineral powder, the foundation from the last one. Yeah
that’s good. Again, I’m going to use my brush for mineral powder foundation but you can
use also the old school shaving brush so again swirl it, you want to get all the product in
there. You want to get the product in the black part of the brush, see because that’s
what’s going to apply, that’s what’s going to apply the bronzer and the white is going to
polish it and blend it. So the same technique as the foundation as from the outpost, the
last post I mean.
You start from the outside going inside. So you go like that, then in the middle, nose and
you know, you can add up more layers if you want a little bit more coverage if you want
to look more tan you can add more layers if you want but I wouldn’t over do it because
you’re going to end up looking orange and that’s not cute and you’re not cute at all
because who comes out looking orange. As you can see I already have, you know I’ve
got some color going on already and my hair looks crazy but it’s all in the name of
beauty. You want to also add a little bit on your neck because that’s the way. Okay he
just gets down on his face nodding his neck.
Put only to here because obviously do not get your clothes dirty so I’m going to apply on
the neck as well and a little bit more, why not, in your hair line. Now as the last tutorial
you use the white, the top hairs to just slight, making slight soft circles, very softly, you
are going to spread the product to get that glow a fabulous glow from. So now I am going
to add the sunburn with the famous red looks to, you don’t need to be afraid of it. Don’t
be afraid of the red lipstick. I just want to make you look gorgeous so—
Again, you apply on the high points on your face where the sun would hit and give you a
little bit of a sunburn there, a little bit more. Now on the other side, I mean this is not
really the best thing for this, the very best product that I’ve used to make this effect is this
product by NARS called Exhibit A and it’s also quite pricey but it’s fantastic, it gives you
this, it’s sheer. Has no glitter on it and you see bright is like super, super red and it gives
you the sunburned look which helps make you look more natural because just a brown
skin it’s— a little crazy there, wait.
This is the problem with and my dogs are also going to crazy so there you go a little also
and also on your face on your nose. Now just make sure that everything is kind of even. I
don’t know it has to be even or else, okay now it’s pretty even to me. Now you just get
your brush once again and rub it in, rub it in, rub it in to blend it and to make you look
fabulous so there you go, there you go, you know a nice you know fake tan without
damages of the sun and they’re easy to make and very cheap also, you know come on I
use this for €20 and this will last you forever. You know not forever but for a really long
time.
So thank you for watching and to the next post I don’t know what I’m going to say but
you know just keep up the good work.
