Groin Spider
For the application of the groin spider, begin by having the client lying on their back with the groin exposed and the leg straight.
For step number one, tear the backing along the black lines, tearing all of the perforations before beginning the application. For section number one, applying the base, tear the base portion off and then apply to the inside border of the groin, being careful not to touch the adhesive side of the tape. Let it come in gentle contact with the skin along the upper border of the groin. Once applied, gently rub over top of the tape to activate the glue.
Before beginning the application of the projections, bring the leg into a stretched position, stretching out all of the groin muscles. Externally, rotate the leg a little bit to once again expose all of the groin or adductor muscles. Gently tear back the backing. As you gently let the tape come in contact with the skin, lightly smooth it down to ensure that no creases form in the tape, going along the top border of the adductors.
Once the tape is applied, about 90%, then tear the remaining portion of the backing off, smoothing the tape down on to the skin. Once applied, gently rub over top of the tape, activating the glue.
Ensure each section is applied before moving on to the next. Tear the backing, let the tape come in contact with the skin, lightly smooth over top from start towards the finish, and then once applied, rub over top of the tape to activate the glue.
Final section, tear the backing of the tape, no stretch on the tape, and along the bottom border of the adductors, gently rub the tape to activate the glue.
Once the groin spider is applied, thoroughly rub over top of the tape to activate the glue.
