Helena: I want to save the emotional pain that I went through. I am going to make a suggestion, this is something you could do at home and you can learn a lot about your own dating history and your own dating habits. Does the 15 minute rule apply in your life? Let us find out.
Get out a legal pad and draw two vertical lines down the center. On the left hand column, put down the names of every person you had had a serious, romantic relationship with. In the middle of the column, next to the person’s name, write down your recollections at your first encounter with that person. What did the person feel like to be with? What did the person sound like? What were some of your impressions that you took away from that first encounter?
And on the right hand side, write down what led to the destruction toward the end of the relationship you had with that person? I will bet you that you will see that the seeds of the end or contained in that very first 15 minute encounter, check it out.
