Hey there, this time I just want to share with you guys some cool XP tips that I learned. First of is signing shortcut key. You can assign a shortcut keys to any documents or programs you want to access without the use of your keyboard and I will just show you a quick demo.
For example, you want to access paint, using your keyboard quickly. All you got to do is, this is paint so right click send to your desktop or just create a shortcut to your desktop. There you go, then press or click properties, then click on shortcut key. Since it starts with letter p so I will just put it in p. as you can see it automatically includes ctrl and alt. just press ok. Let’s check it out. Ctrl + alt + key; There you go paint is opened.
So if you want a document just move this out. so we have geek here, create a shortcut or just send it to your desktop like so. Where are you, it’s a bit of delay, so I will do it again. Send to desktop. There you go, same procedure. This time I'm going to click n press ok. Ctrl + alt + N; and there is my note, geek. Geeky artist, okay.
So if you want to delete a file without going through the recycle bin and emptying your recycle bin and stuff so, just click on, or highlight the document or program or anything that you wanted to delete. Press shift and then delete it; and it would be deleted permanently. Again, that is shift + delete. However, unfortunately if you are going to delete it from your desktop so its shift then delete, it will just sent these items to the recycle bin. But if you do that command on a window, it will permanently delete it.
Next is locking your desktop, all you have to do is press your windows key and then L. so it will automatically log you out of your desktop or your account and that is if you’re going to do something and you want to log out immediately so that’s window and L.
Speaking of the windows key, there are other shortcuts here that you might find useful because I did, for example I have here an open window, going to press the windows key then D, by this the window. And if you pressed it again, windows then D, then its back on. For a click if you are using your keyboard of if your mouse isn’t working of stuff like that.
Next is E, window then E, and now it opens your Windows Explorer. So it just displays all of your files there and basically My Computer. Then we have windows + F. now, it displays the search window. Windows R, it displays the run window. Another click plays of running your applications and then windows + U, the utility manager. Ok that is the narrator; I am just going to exit that. Then the windows + break; this time it displays the system properties. Last the windows F1, you guessed it, it’s the windows help and support window.
There you go, so sorry for that. Help and support center of windows. There you go. So those are some of the tips that I learned, and hope you learned something too, but if you already use them before then good for you. Thanks for watching
