How to Attach a Clasp to a Nylon Cord

To attach a lobster clasp to a nylon cord, you’ll need a nylon cord, a crimp bead cover, a crimp bead, a jump ring and a lobster clasp. Begin by feeding the crimp bead cover through the bottom on to the nylon cord. Now, the crimp bead goes on the nylon cord. Put the crimp bead where desired and smash it flat with your chain nose pliers. Make sure it’s flat enough that the crimp bead cover won’t move. Now, close the crimp bead cover, you don’t want to smash it too flat. Now, snip off the excess cord and you have your crimp bead and crimp bead cover attached to the cord. Now, we’re going to fit on the jump ring and close the loop on the crimp bead cover with our chain nose pliers. Now, we need to open the jump ring with our two pliers, flat nose and our chain nose and fit on the lobster claw clasp. Close your jump ring back up and you have your lobster clasp attached to your nylon cord.

To attach a lobster clasp to a nylon cord, you’ll need a nylon cord, a crimp bead cover, a crimp bead, a jump ring and a lobster clasp. Begin by feeding the crimp bead cover through the bottom on to the nylon cord. Now, the crimp bead goes on the nylon cord. Put the crimp bead where desired and smash it flat with your chain nose pliers. Make sure it’s flat enough that the crimp bead cover won’t move. Now, close the crimp bead cover, you don’t want to smash it too flat. Now, snip off the excess cord and you have your crimp bead and crimp bead cover attached to the cord.

Now, we’re going to fit on the jump ring and close the loop on the crimp bead cover with our chain nose pliers. Now, we need to open the jump ring with our two pliers, flat nose and our chain nose and fit on the lobster claw clasp. Close your jump ring back up and you have your lobster clasp attached to your nylon cord.
