How to Attach a Pressure Regulator for a Drip Irrigation Project

Alright. So now to get started, I’m going to attach my pressure regulator into the tap. Just like so. I mean, this isn’t going to be very permanent but it’s going to get me through until I put in the whole manifold system. So when I go and install the rest of the sprinklers, what’s going to happen is that I’m going to take off this brass connection and then this pressure regulator. They’ll actually go onto an automatic valve which will be down in the ground and it will run from there. So like I said, this is just temporary but it’s what we got to work with for right now.

Okay. So next, I’m going to hook up the pipe to the pressure regulator attachment. So basically, I just slide my clamp down over the top first. And then I’ll slide back a piece of pipe on and insert it after. It should be on there alright. And these are gear clamps so I just need a screwdriver and just tighten that up. That’s nice and snug there so we should be all set to start running the pipe through the shrub beds. So we’ll get started on that next.
