I’ve used it a few converters like—or Avid E-Mix, that one was okay, I dig that one also but it’s not as good as this one though PyTube. This thing is really good for what it does. What it does is it allows you to rip and converts in one step, that’s the whole thing I want, in one step, rip and convert. That’s all I wanted to do you know. And what it does is—it’s really easy, you just go and, you know click add and the it’ll ask you for a link, and you can rip Google videos, Metacafe, MySpace, YouTube right? Let’s—do YouTube.
So just go to videos you like, I’m just going to pick this one, and all I’m going to do is copy the link up here, copy the link right. And I’m just going to paste it in here, that’s it that’s all I got to do, alright add. And you see that there’s a thumbnail of it and it will tell you what to select, I’m having advance mode all this other ones to, but for me I’m just going to use the iPod video. They have other ones for PSP but—and all you’ve go to do is click convert. And you see it’s doing its job here, it’s downloading.
So after it downloads what it is going to do is, it’s is going to put in its destination here in your home folder, and that’s my home folder in here, and as you can see I found the video in the FLV format, and after she’ll convert it also. So that’s how it does in two steps, you know and into one and that’s why it’s convenient to me. Let me see some other features it has, in here it says video encoding. You can do like other—they have a wide range of cell phones and—like that, and you put any video that you want and that will do it.

And that’s on my review on this but to install it, you have to have—let’s see what you have to have. You need to add Medibuntu repository, this is the one right here. This is a repository you need to have. So you see that? Oh yeah, that’s what you need to have. And after you add it, you have to upgrade your FFMPEG. All you’ve got to do is search it in our Synaptic package manager. Search for FFMPEG and then the option to upgrade, right here, this will be visible to you and you just check it and then upgrade it. That’s all you’ve got to do, the reason you have to upgrade it is because—let me see what it is, the default FFMPEG, it doesn’t allow you to do MP4’s or 3GP’s, I don’t know something like that.
