How to Avoid Choppy Strokes

Players hit two handed back hands to get more power, yet many end up with short choppy strokes with little pace. To get more pop on your two hander, master an opposite hand, four hand. Take a look at a skill building progression.

Here my right handed daughter is hitting lefty forehands. It may feel awkward at first but it's an essential skill to develop. Stage two is for Colindy to place just the thumb and index finger of her right hand on the grip. At this stage note that the pace doesn't come from muscles it comes from relaxation.
