Dan Hernandez: For this weeks' tip of the week, I want to talk to you a little bit about what happened to us today; at the Colonel Islands down Mexico. Now, we've got into situation where the tons of seals today. At one time, 15 seals around the boat, you throw live lite bait in the body. You can get feet off out of baits and we were able to catch live yellowtails and live baits but for Benita, we had to use artificials a lot and one of the artificals we use is a metal jig.
I was using Magic Metal Lite that works good, swimbaits work good, bucktails, all of those types of things that the seals won't eat. It is a good tip, you want to throw the artificals, you can still catch fish around the seals because they are concentrating on a chunk and then you could throw the artificials like this Magic Metal Lite and catch a fish.
Now, the only thing about Magic Metal Lite I could say that you can use a live rods, smaller reels, and light in line and still catch all the benita like, we did today.
Well, I like to thank the crew of the Indian, Chris Randell and everybody is great on the boat, we had a great time on the water. I am Dan Hernandez, hoping you enjoyed this weeks' episode of Sport Fishing and I hope you join us again next week as we go looking for more of the best in Sport Fishing.
