One thing Cristina failed to cover is SCAMS from MODELS themselves. Despite a might have their measurements listed on their Comp Cards. So what we do is ask the model to send us all of their measurements and specific photos of the model standing in a two piece bikini. 1 front shot, 1 side shot, and 1 back shot. Why do we do this? Simple. Models see the allure of big bucks and want $100 an hour. So it's a job interview and if you cannot send us this info as we request, then it shows us that you can't follow simple instruction and possibly have a dive attitude as like Tyra Banks or other top models. Don't flirt, try to use your charm, nudity or sexual advances to try to get your way or more money. That may work with some, but not us! You get sent home without any pay! Also I can tell real easy who is up to par and who is faking it until they make it. For us your competition is a mannequin. When you get the model in front of the camera, the truth is comes out! Cristina has some great advice here so listen up and watch this video more than once! So often we get models who have been taken or burn by these modeling agency scams. You tell you has been burned by such scams, photographers, or agencies. How? They are the models who state that they require a escort, or to deal with a manager. Doing a bit of homework can spare you the grief and the expense! As I posted on another one of Cristina videos We (Devious Designs) deal with the models directly, even if they have agent, or not at all. It you want to be an actor/actress, then you might consider an agent. For modeling, you really don't need an agency. Again, the agency charges you 20% to 25% of the gross fee per assignment to BOOK you the job. We shy away from models with agents as we see them as lazy and they can't find work themselves. Ask who ever you are dealing with if they have a business license! Check with the state they are in and get references! CEO - Devious Designs
