Julianne: Hello my name is Julianne I'm from Lansing, Michigan; and I have a question I love to swim in the ocean but I tend to get swimmers ear, are there any precautions I can take? John May: Well, Julianne when you swim water may or may nor get down into your ears what happens is it the water stays in the ears and you have some skin or wax build up there it tends to hold on to that water like a sponge and then you are increased risk fro getting an infection a simple home remedy for this is to place a little vinegar or and alcohol in your ear after swimming and this will turn to kill the bacteria and evaporate any moisture that remains and decrease the risk of you getting a swimmers ear.
