Welcome to watchmojo.com’s kitchen. I’m Angelica and today we’re to take you on the road less traveled of baked goods.
We will be concocting the “Dolly Parton Square”. This square is fun and easy and not your usual affair, not your usual cookie, loaf, cake, not of that today. We’re going to do the square. The ingredients are very basic for making the squares.
First, you start with the half cup of melted butter, a box of graham cracker crumb, a bag of coconut flakes, a can of condensed milk, a bag of chocolate chips and of course, the square pan.
Originally, this recipe was called the “Hello Dolly’s Square”, but because after I tasted it, it was so rich and top heavy, I added the graham cracker crumbs and with the butter right away. Stir, stir, stir, depending on your pan size, you may have enough to do two squares. So, use your discretion. I’ve seen there’s a lot of crumb here and if I just put crumb then there won’t be a room for anything else. So, I’m going to divide up between two pans. We make sure we pack it down really well because this is the base for foundation of your whole’s square. And the idea is that the butter will harden and keep everything together.
Again, we’ll have to have the coconuts. We put it directly on. Next stuff is the condensed milk. Now, this is the gooey layer of the center that’s going to keep everything together. I’m going to mark it out like a Zorro here. For the hard to reach corners, you may need a spatula. Try to cover if you can all the edges. And last but definitely not least, the chocolate chips. Now, we’re ready to bake. And into the oven they go at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes. Walla! Now, we wait. I’m think we’re ready. Alright. Hello Dolly Parton Squares. Okay. So, the key with the Dolly Parton Square is letting it stand for a moment before you cut it into delectable bite size morcels. Another option is put it in the fridge, so it will really solidify. And there you go.
