Hi! I’m going to show you how to make the best blueberry pie. So, here is where you start out with.
You start of with 3/4 cup of white sugar, 5 tablespoons of cornstarch, 1/4 teaspoon of salt and a half of teaspoon of cinnamon.
You stir these together just to combine and you add 4 cups of blueberries. Fresh are great but right now there is no fresh blueberries so I’m using frozen straight from the freezer and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Alright, just mix these all together.
Okay, once that’s mixed together, you put it in your unbaked pie dish.
Now, you take a tablespoon of butter and you just dole out around the top of the pie.
Okay, now we move on to the last work, topping. So, the next step after cutting your strips is to work on making the lettuce. After you cut your strips into 3/4 inch pieces then make a weave on top of your pie and then after that, it’s time to primp and flip the edges.
Okay, now that we’re done on—the pie including the edges, now, if you like to make it really golden brown and that the crust really golden brown, you can add an egg white or just the egg yolk and a little milk.
Now, it’s time to cover the edges of your pie with a little foil to prevent extra browning or over browning. So, you put it in the oven like this for 35 minutes with the covers of foil and then take the foil off and continue baking for another 15 or until the crust is golden brown.
This is a pre-heated 400-degree oven. Okay, there you have it.
