Liz Tuccillo: And then there’s that one piece of advice that women get to hear all over the world.
Female: Lower your standards double your chances.
Male: The solution is to lower the bar ladies, we just can’t, lower the bar, lower your standards.
Liz Tuccillo: But at this point is that something they could really do?
Female: If a guy runs to guy—in the weekend and I’m not even married then I’m not going to go like I have got my life and it’s really hard to start bending to fit someone else needs.
Clint Paddison: I think that’s the only thing that has actually changed in the last hundred years, women want to be financially independent, don’t depend on the man.
Liz Tuccillo: Yes.
Clint Paddison: Okay, but what is happening is such a dramatic way.
Liz Tuccillo: It caused so many problems.
Female: I think it’s exciting that we’ve become more independent and we do what we want to do. I think that’s really—and marriage doesn’t have to be forever and all these rules that are getting—and I think that’s really exciting which you be can creative and you can design it the way you want to design it.
Clint Paddison: You can hear the desperation in their voice, the regret in their voice that that they haven’t prioritized relationships and ultimately for me at my point of view; happiness as number one I supposed to career.
Liz Tuccillo: Do you ever feel regretful that all this independence and all this sort of ability to be—this freedom has cost you anything in terms of your personal life.
Female: No.
Female: No.
Liz Tuccillo: No.
Female: No.
Female: Never.
Liz Tuccillo: Never!
Female: I would not change a thing.
Liz Tuccillo: You would not change a thing.
Clint Paddison: Women are attracted to men who are ambitious and have careers and goals and stuff like this because it’s very masculine thing but for women to do the same thing is not as a feeling as a woman stops and smells the flowers like a real girly girl task, that’s what we like.
Female: If I’m going to spend the next 40, 50 years with someone, I’m going to make sure that exactly what I want so if I’m going to be desperate and you know I’m a bit fatter and not—but then I’m not settled but I’m not prepared to do it yet.
Female: And no I agree with you. I don’t think there’s a manger—
Female: I could have married—I could date 20 guys but I couldn’t marry—I want to do it on Yahoo.
Liz Tuccillo: Okay, so the women of Sydney are not going to settle. They are not going to be able to reverse the aging process and they are definitely not going to start sleeping with gay men. So, what’s left for them to do?
