Liz: I love generalizations so can you give me a generalization about Danish women.
Male: Beautiful women, she dresses with very good dresses, a very empowered woman and the first places to give birth of the alpha female. I that’s great.
Male: Danish women, they have this—fending up themselves that they are very independent which means that if you buy a doll for them or give them a good compliment, they say, “Don’t you think I can do it myself?” The girls are so independent now. They’re only in their career, they have this idea. I want my life to be like this and I want the man and some kids to be like that.
Male: They demand things for themselves which men never demanded like having a top career, a full family without somebody supporting them really. Men never did that. I’m not saying that the woman should not have a career but they’re making it really hard because they want to have success on all phases and I don’t want to give in on any of them.
Liz: They complain that Danish women are too independent. What do you think about that?
Female: I don’t think we’re too independent. Somebody has to be in charge.
Liz: Somebody has to be in charge. So which comes first, you being too independent or taking charged or the men not taking charge enough? Which came first?
Female: The men not taking charge enough. Not because they’re men, it’s because we want to be women and…
Liz: And you want to be independent?
Female: Yeah, exactly.
Liz: And you want to just be…
Female: We want to be in charge.
Liz: Do you think that the Danish women are too independent?
Female: Yes, for sure.
Liz: You do.
Female: That’s why there are so many single people in there. You have 1.5 million single people in Denmark. We only populate not a bit more than 5 million. I mean, come on, there’s something wrong.
Liz: With that many single people in Denmark, I’ve decided it was time to consult the professional.
