How to Be a Model - Shooting a Portfolio

Cristina: Today, we are Roy Cox’s studio and he is an amazing photographer here in Baltimore Maryland. And he does testing, and he does campaigns, and editorials. We are going to have hairstyles here and make up style as a clothing stylist and it is going to be a great shot. So stick around and take a look. You see, did you get this. Look at that. Have you ever seen a make up looks good? Have you? Okay, you do not have to say no. Male: Tired of with something kind of texture, a wave curls something like that and then let it dry and go pull it up. And it is start grabbing by the third and fourth and look to be straight. Cristina: That is a good idea to my hair. Male: That gives styling to do some different things. Your hair need to moisture and the reconditioning actually adds moisture to your hair. Roy Cox: Now, we have to start with the half but not one. So you can sort of use a little bit. Now, Ms. Cristina is an experienced model. So when I work with experience models, I basically give them the direction I want to go in, but allow you to do your thing within those parameters. A lot of the models that we have come down also, this are their first time and they do a lot more direction. I really believe that making sure that people that we give models really, really good direction. Cristina is like having a day off for me when I shoot here. She is very consistent. She just makes us easy. All I have to do was tell her I am going for and she hits it every single time. Everyone always wants to look serious and I would probably say 90% of new models only want to look serious in their pictures because that was they have seen on Americas. But, unless it is really, really high fashion stuff, you have to have an amount of smiles. Mix them with your shoots. You have to have to have to. It is gorgeous and simple. Cristina: Yes, awesome. Roy Cox: It is very like nerds through me. Excellent work guys. Excellent! Cristina: All right, that is it. Now take a look some of the pictures that we took today.
