Speaker: I am going to show you a wonderful four-minute recipe for a smoothie that's not only going to give you a fantastic energy boost but it's also going to give you all the fruits that you need for the whole day. Now I really want to emphasize just how quick and simple it is to make this. The ingredients are readily available everywhere, I have some nice fresh strawberries, some lovely raspberries and both of those are going to contain all of those natural sugars to give you that wonderful boost and they are also full of antioxidants. So you've got a great start for the day. I also have a nice banana, some very simple natural yogurt and a little bit of orange juice. Now all those ingredients will be in your fridge, you might have to buy the strawberries and the raspberries, you could also use both.
So the first thing I am going to do is I am going to clean up my little strawberries. You just basically pulling that green piece off the end of the strawberry and then what we are going to do is we are going to give them a good wash. Very important, always to wash these, it might look clean but there's always a chance that there could be a few pesticides on there. So in go the strawberries, I have washed my raspberries already in exactly the same way, so in they go. Now the next thing that goes in is our natural yogurt. That's going to give it a wonderful body and it's also nice and healthy. Go for a low fat yogurt, in that goes. Now the next two ingredients are really the way that we can play along with this smoothie. We have this orange juice which will thin smoothie and with the banana which will thicken it up. Now if you prefer a thicker one, just add more banana. If you want a thinner tone a nice little bit of orange juice. So in goes the orange juice, you've got to peel the banana and using a small knife, in it goes.
Now unbelievably that is the preparation time over. I am going to put the lid on it, mix it for 30 seconds and there is your perfect, quick breakfast. So that's been blend for literally 30 second and we are ready to serve it. Can you believe how quick that was. Look at that beautiful bright vivacious color because in there, it's lovely and smooth. And there's just one last thing that I want to do to that to give it a little kick and that's a lovely fresh lime. So just give it a quick roll on your chopping board to losing up those juices. We'll cut it in half and then just in on the top a lovely squeeze of fresh lime. That will give it a really nice punchy flavor and also add even more Vitamin C and antioxidants. That's a really quick breakfast smoothie, it couldn't be anything.
