Welcome back to PowerHouse Kickboxing. Danial Leeman. I'll show you Block and Counter. You're going to block a cross and counter with a cross.
Again keep your shoulders up and fist by your chin. So if cross comes in straight punch, you kind of deflect it up, all sides. One more time, and you punch back. So again keep your elbow aligned with your nose, so it covers half of your face basically. Punch, you bounce it up and you counter. So you open the opponent up. One more time one, two. One more, two.
If I would block like this boom! Then you will get me right in my face. So your elbow, don't turn with it, but only just change the angle to your elbow, so it's aligned with your nose. One more time. See you kind of bounce it up and open up your opponent. One more time, one and you punch right in his chin. One more time one, two.
So now we have blocked from a straight punch, we're going to work on the Jab. So if somebody punched a Jab, you block with your right hand, I mean your backhand and kind of like move with the side and arm, use your palm basically.
So if somebody punches you, you also -- but see, when you block it, you kind of frustrate your opponent little bit to the side. So you can counter with your arm, a small kick again. Again, one more time two. Again, see your hand should be staying by your chin and when punch comes, you move it from this position, kind of you use little of your hip and your body, and your arm again, one. Slip down, and house to the leg. One more time, two.
Kick comes right away. So you don't do it like this. Like, and then you kick. It's already too late because if somebody does Jab, you'll be like this. It's not going to be like, oh! They are going to stay and wait. So you have do it immediately. So if somebody punches and again you standing, one more time. Yeah, punch a little bit faster. Yeah from here.
