Hi! I am Tina Cohen and we are doing Emo hairstyles. Right now I am going to show you how to blow dry the hair straight. I already cut her hair into this great style that's going from short to long. Now I am going to show you how to take your blow dryer and your brush and really blow dry the hair straight.
The best way to do that is get a brush, sometimes vent hairbrushes work well, but sometimes they don't. Depending on your hair type and texture, you really want to blow dryer that's going to be hot, but also that has a cool setting to it too.
Now when blow drying the hair straight, you are going to brush the hair in all different directions. So what I am going to do is start off in the front with a low setting on the blow dryer -- a low blow dryer setting, but a hot heat setting. And I am just going to brush the hair in opposite directions. Just remember when you are blow drying, you want to keep your blow dryer and the brush in the same direction, if not, you are going to get a lot of little frizzes going on.
So when you are moving the brush and the blow dryer together this way, it helps put more shine into the hair and it also helps avoid all the little frizzes that you can get. You just want to move in all different directions when blow drying the hair. Now if you have a great Emo haircut. You just blow dry in the place. You can also use this method on really long hair as well.
Now when you are blow drying your hair straight, you don't want a round brush either, because that will create a wave in the hair. There is also a great technique to use when you take the hair and you place the brush under the hair and blow dry it this way. So I am going to show you how that works. That will help keep the hair straight. You can take your fingers, take your section of hair and blow straight.
Now when blow drying the hair, it's also important to put some sort of product into the hair as well. That will help protected your hair from the heat. Blow drying a hair puts a lot of heat into the hair. So to protect it, you want to put something in there, just to basically keep your hair healthy. So we are now finished blow drying Jenny's hair and we are going to move on to flat ironing. So in our next clip, stick around and I will teach you how to flat iron the hair properly.
