How to Break an Attacker's Nose
Welcome to BlackBeltSite.com. I'm Master Scott. Joining me is Mr. Cory. From here, the double lapel grab, how you defend against this will depend on the size of your opponent. It also will depend on your strength. So you asked, “Which one do I do?” I recommend--you're going to get a bonus today. We’re going to show you not one way to escape but three different ways to escape this. I recommend that you practice all three. Find the one that works the best for you and get really good at that.
So from here, when somebody grabs double lapel here, when you practice with a partner never wind your fingers up inside their uniform or their shirt because if you do this quickly, they have a tendency to break their fingers; okay on the street, bad for your significant other who is practicing with you. So from here, the first grab here, I'm going to grab a hold. He's going to step back, break that and come in with a punch to the face.
Once again if I grab here, he’s going to strike here and then strike the face. He’s hitting on the inside of my arms. So once again, more in full speed here, good! The next one from here, little bit more complicated, slow motion. He’s going to bring his arm up, down and through and grab. Hold there. That X is a bar from here as he steps back and twist, that breaks my grip here and then once again the elbow strike.
Remember that the elbow is one of the strongest parts of your body. So you’ll see us using that quite a bit. Once again, that same movement from here over, under and up, slide back and elbow strike. Looks a little bit cumbersome but watch it in full speed.
Once again. And the third technique to escape the double lapel grab, from here when I grab, he’s going o put one hand here and lock me down. As he does that, come through, elbow strike. Once again, from here, lock, twist and elbow strike. And I’ll show you that same one from an open side as well. When he grabs, I'm going to put my arm down here, step back and pull over, strike repeatedly until you have a chance to run away. Once again from here, sorry about the loud key up but you’ll see videos on the key up as well. Once again, those are the three movements to escape the double lapel grab.
